Determination made under sub-section 3(1)

(HIB 33/2006)

I, Penny Shakespeare, delegate of the Minister for Health and Ageing, pursuant to the powers under paragraph (b) of the definition of ‘patient contribution’ in sub-section 3(1) of the Health Insurance Act 1973 (the Act):

(1) REVOKE all previous determinations made under paragraph (b) of the definition of ‘patient contribution’ in sub-section 3(1) of the Act in respect of recognized hospitals in Western Australia.

  1. DETERMINE for the purposes of paragraph (b) of the definition of ‘patient contribution’ in sub-section 3(1) of the Act, that the amount of patient contribution is $37.30 per day in respect of recognized hospitals in Western Australia.

(3)  This determination takes effect the day after registration on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments.
