Health Insurance (1995-96 General Medical Services Table) Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Health Insurance Act 1973.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The Health Insurance (1995-96 General Medical Services Table) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

2.   Schedule (Part 1)

2.1   Rule 38:

Omit the rule, substitute:

Meaning of “Amount under rule 38” in items 16633 and 16636

“38.

In items 16633 and 16636, ‘Amount under rule 38’ means the amount that is equal to 50% of the amount of the fee for the service specified in an item specified in those items that is provided in relation to the second, or to a subsequent, foetus of a multiple pregnancy.”.

3.   Schedule (Part 2)

3.1   Item 16511:

After “ligation of”, insert “(Anaes. 17706 = 4B + 2T)”.

3.2   Item 16512:

After “ligature of”, insert “(Anaes. 17706 = 4B + 2T)”.
