Health, hereby make the following Regulations under the Health Commission

Ordinance 1975.

1. Regulations 2 and 3 of the Health Commission Regulations are repealed

and the following regulation is substituted:

Interpretation

"2 . In these Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears—

'Committee' means a Committee appointed under section 93 of the

Ordinance;

'member of a Committee' does not include a member who is—

(a) a Commissioner; or

(b) a person who is an officer of, or is employed in, the Public Service or the service of an authority of Australia;

(a)	by omitting from sub-regulation (1) "part-time member of the Com­ mission" and substituting "membsr of a Committee",
(b)	by omitting from sub-regulation (1) "meeting of the Commission" and substituting "meeting of the Committee";
(c)	by omitting from sub-regulation (2) "part-time member of the Com­ mission" and substituting "member of a Committee";
(d)	by omitting from sub-regulation (2) "business of the Commission" and
substituting "business of the Committee";

'the Ordinance' means the Health Commission Ordinance 1975.".

Fees and allowances

2. Regulation 9 of the Health Commission Regulations is amended—

(e) by omitting sub-regulation (3) and substituting the following sub- regulation:

"(3) Where a member of a Committee—

(a) attends a meeting of the Committee; and

(b) is, on the same day, engaged for a period, with the approval of the Commission, on other business of the Committee,

the fee payable to the member in respect of that day is the fee that would be payable to him if, on that day, in addition to attending the meeting referred to in paragraph (a), he had also attended a meeting of the Committee during the period referred to in paragraph (b).";

(f)	by omitting from sub-regulation (4) "part-time member of the Com­ mission" (wherever occurring) and substituting "member of a Com­ mittee" ;
(g)	by omitting from paragraph (4) (a) "meeting of the Commission" and substituting "meeting of the Committee";
(h)	by omitting from paragraph (4) (b) "business of the Commission" and substituting "business of the Committee"; and

(i) by omitting sub-regulation (8).

Additional amendments

3 . The Health Commission Regulations are further amended as set out in

the following table:
