Health Care Liability Act 2001 No 42—
Proclamation New South Wales

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (2) of the Health Care Liability Act 2001, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 January 2002 as the day on which Part 3 of that Act commences.

Explanatory note

This Proclamation commences the provisions of the Health Care Liability Act 2001 that make professional indemnity insurance compulsory for medical practitioners and that regulate the provision of that insurance.
