PROCLAMATION

NEW SOUTH WALES

I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Health Care Complaints Act 1993, do, by ths my Proclamation, appoint 4 May 1994 as the day on which the following provisions of that Act commence:

(a) Parts 1, 4, 5 and 7;

(b)

Schedule3,butonlyinsofarasitamendsthePublic Sector Management Act 1988;

(c) Schedule 4.

The object of this Proclamation is to commence those provisions of the Health

Care Complaints Act 1993 that will enable the appointment of the Commissioner

and staff the Health Care Complaints Commission.
The provisions that Act relating to the making and handling of complaints

remain to be commenced.
