Health (Asbestos) Amendment Regulations 2017

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.             Citation

These regulations are the Health (Asbestos) Amendment
Regulations 2017.

2.             Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a)	regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;
(b)	the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

3.             Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Health (Asbestos)
Regulations 1992.

4.             Regulation 8 amended

In regulation 8(3) delete “appeal in writing against the notice to the Chief Health Officer who may uphold, revoke, or amend the notice.” and insert:

apply to the State Administrative Tribunal for a review of the
direction in the notice.

5.             Regulation 15D amended

Delete regulation 15D(7) and insert:

(7) A local government may delegate a power or duty conferred or imposed on it by this regulation to the chief executive officer of the local government.
