Part 1 Health and Other Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2012 Part 1 Preliminary [s 1] Preliminary 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Health and Other Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2012 . 2 Commencement This regulation, other than parts 4 and 5, commences on 1 July 2012. Part 2 Amendment of Cooperatives Regulation 1997 3 Regulation amended This part amends the Cooperatives Regulation 1997. 4 Amendment of sch 5 (Undesirable matter for names) Schedule 5, item 12, fourth and fifth dot points— omit. 2012 SL No. 82 Page 3

Health and Other Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2012 Part 3 Amendment of Guide, Hearing and Assistance Dogs Regulation 2009 [s 5] Part 3 Amendment of Guide, Hearing and Assistance Dogs Regulation 2009 5 Regulation amended This part amends the Guide, Hearing and Assistance Dogs Regulation 2009. 6 Amendment of schedule (Dictionary) Schedule, definition registered health practitioner , paragraphs (a)(ii) and (iii) and (b)— omit, insert— ‘(ii) the occupational therapy profession; (iii) the physiotherapy profession; (iv) the psychology profession; or (b) a person registered under the SpeechPathologistsRegistration Act 2001. ’. Part 4 Amendment of Medical Radiation Technologists Registration Regulation 2002 7 Regulation amended This part amends the MedicalRadiationTechnologistsRegistration Regulation 2002. Part 5 Amendment of Occupational Therapists Registration Regulation 2001 9 Regulation amended This part amends the OccupationalTherapistsRegistrationRegulation 2001. 10 Amendment of s 4 (Period of registration—Act, s 56) Section 4— insert— ‘(2) However, the general registration period for the financial year beginning on 1 July 2011 ends at the end of 1 July 2012.’. Part 9 Amendment of Traffic Regulation 1962 17 Regulation amended This part amends the Traffic Regulation 1962. 18 Amendment of s 60 (Eligibility for disability parking permit) Section 60(3), definition occupational therapist — omit, insert— ‘ occupational therapist means a person registered under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law to practise, other than as a student, in the occupational therapy profession.’. 2012 SL No. 82 Page 7
