Health Amendment (Quality Assurance Committees) Act 2007

An Act to amend the Ambulance Service Act 1982 and the Health Act 1997

Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:

PART 1Preliminary1Short titleThis Act may be cited as the Health Amendment (Quality Assurance Committees) Act 2007 . 2CommencementThis Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent. PART 2Ambulance Service Act 1982 Amended3Principal ActIn this Part, the Ambulance Service Act 1982 is referred to as the Principal Act. 4Section 36A amended (Quality assurance committees) Section 36A of the Principal Act is amended by inserting after subsection (7) the following subsection: (8) Section 62B of the Health Complaints Act 1995 and section 17 of the Ombudsman Act 1978 do not apply to a disclosure or communication of information to which this section refers. PART 3Health Act 1997 Amended5Principal ActIn this Part, the Health Act 1997 is referred to as the Principal Act. 6Section 4 amended (Quality assurance committees) Section 4 of the Principal Act is amended by inserting after subsection (7) the following subsection: (8) Section 62B of the Health Complaints Act 1995 and section 17 of the Ombudsman Act 1978 do not apply to a disclosure or communication of information to which this section refers.
