HEALTH AMENDMENT ACT

No. 93 of 1986

AN ACT to amend section 178 of the Health Act 1911.

[Assented to 10 December 1986.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the

advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title

1. This Act may be cited as the Health Amendment Act 1986.

Commencement

2. This Act shall come into operation on the day on which it receives

the Royal Assent.

Section 178 amended

3. Section 178 of the Health Act 1911* is amended by repealing

subsection (2) and substituting the following subsection

"

(2) Regulations made under subsection (1) may create offences

and provide in respect of any such offence

(a)

a penalty which is not more than $15 000; and

(b)

if that offence is a continuing offence, a daily penalty which is not more than $1 000. ".
