Regulation under the Health Administration Act 1982.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to enable the disclosure of information obtained in connection with the administration or execution of the Health Administration Act 1982 to the Centre for Health Record Linkage (CHeReL), or any other similar organisation, for the purpose of obtaining a unique identifier to be used for the funding, management, planning or evaluation of services provided for or on behalf of Government agencies.

This Regulation is made under the Health Administration Act 1982, including sections 22 and 34 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Health Administration Amendment (Disclosure of
Information) Regulation 2016.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Health Administration Regulation 2015

Clause 17 Disclosure of information

Insert “or any other service provided by or on behalf of a Government agency” after
“health services” in clause 17 (3) (d).
