AN ACT to amend the Health Act, 1911-1973.

[Assented to 9th May, 1975.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Health Act

and citation.

(1) Subject to subsection (2) of this section,

this Act shall come into operation on the day on

which it receives the Royal Assent.

(2) Section 7 of this Act shall come into opera-

tion on a date to be fixed by proclamation.

Section 41

Section 41 of the principal Act is amended

amended.

(a)

by deleting the words "three and one-third cents" in line one of paragraph (a) and substituting the words "twelve cents"; and

(b)

by deleting the words "five-sixths of a cent" in line three of paragraph (b) and substituting the words "three cents".

Section 158

Section 158 of the principal Act is amended by deleting the words "two dollars" in line four of paragraph (3) and substituting the words "twenty dollars".

Section 182 of the principal Act is amended

(a)

by deleting the passage "health," at the end of subsection (12) and substituting the passage "health; or";

(b)

by adding after subsection (12) a subsec- tion as follows

(13) Where any building or portion of any building set aside for the pur- pose of parking more than three vehicles is not so ventilated as to prevent the presence therein of carbon monoxide in excess of the concentration that is prescribed for the purposes of this subsection, .

tions as are necessary or convenient for the purposes of subsection (13) of section 182 and any regulation so made may be general in application or restricted in operation as to time, place or circumstance and may discriminate according to different buildings or different classes of buildings. .

Section 191

7.

Subsection (2) of section 191 of the principal Act is amended by deleting the words "ten dollars" in line one and substituting the words "one hundred dollars".
