AN ACT to amend the Health Act, 1911.

[Assented to 9th Januaiy, , 1912.]

Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Par-BE it enacted by the Ding's Most Excellent Majesty, by andwith the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and liament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. This Act may be cited as the Health Act Amendment Act.

Short title.

Section one hundred and sixty one of " The Health Act, 1911 " (hereinafter called the principal Act), is hereby amended

Section two hundred and three of the principal Act is hereby amended by the addition of the following words, that is to

say :--" Provided that no local authority shall be compelled by virtue of any by-law made under this section to exercise any function or power conferred on it by section two hundred and forty-three or two hundred and forty-seven."

the principal Act is amended by omitting the words " and when

the Commissioner so requires shall."

shall exempt the holder of the certificate or diploma from the obligation to pass any examination under this Act, and that any woman producing a certificate or diploma as afore- said may, -on proof to the satisfaction of the Board of her identity and good character, receive a certificate of registration on payment of a fee of five shillings.

(2.) The Board may revoke or amend any such resolution."

Manner of showing

All copies of the principal Act hereafter printed by the Government Printer shall be printed as amended by this Act, under the supervision of the Clerk of the Parliaments, and reference shall be made in the margin of the principal Act to the sections of this Act by which such amendments are made.
