This is the
Hazardous Waste (Regulation of Exports and Imports) (Fees) Amendment Regulation 2016 .
(1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

This instrument is made under the
Hazardous Waste (Regulation of Exports and Imports) Act 1989.
Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.
Insert:
These Regulations are made under the
Hazardous Waste (Regulation of Exports and Imports) Act 1989.
Before “In these regulations”, insert:
Note: A number of expressions used in these Regulations are defined in the Act, including the following:
(a) Basel Convention;
(b) export permit;
(c) import permit;
(d) transit permit.
Repeal the note.
Repeal the regulation, substitute:
For section 32 of the Act, the prescribed fees for applications are specified in Schedule 1.
The amendments made by the
Hazardous Waste (Regulation of Exports and Imports) (Fees) Amendment Regulation 2016 apply in relation to an application for a permit, or for a variation of a permit, made on or after 1 July 2016.
Repeal the Schedule, substitute:

The prescribed fee for an application for a permit of a kind specified in an item in Column 1 of the following table is the fee set out in Column 2 of the table for the item.
