An Act to amend the Hawkers Act, 1974, so as to increasee certain penalties.

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title.

1.     This Act may be cited as the "Hawkers (Amendment) Act. 1985".

Amendment of Act No. 23, 1974.

2. The Hawkers Act, 1974, is amended in the manner set forth in

Schedule 1.

SCHEDULE 1.

(Sec. 2.

AMENDMENTS TO THE HAWKERS ACT, 1974.

(1) Sections 5, 8 (3). 13. 14. 17 (4)—

Omit "$200" wherever occurring, insert instead "$1,000".

(2) Section 10—

Omit "$50", insert instead "$250".

(3) Sections 11. 12—

Omit "$50" wherever occurring, insert instead "$500".
