Application for approval of the Harrison Roofing Pty Ltd and CEPU - Plumbing Division (Vic) Enterprise Agreement 2011-2015.

[1] An application has been made for approval of a single-enterprise agreement known as the Harrison Roofing Pty Ltd and CEPU - Plumbing Division (Vic) Enterprise Agreement 2011-2015 (the Agreement) pursuant to s.185 of the Fair Work Act 2009 (the Act) by Harrison Roofing Pty Ltd. The Agreement was not lodged within 14 days after it was made. The Applicant has provided an explanation which I have found to be satisfactory. Pursuant to s.185(3)(b) I consider it fair to extend the time for making this application to 9 July 2013.

[2] I am satisfied that each of the requirements of ss.186, 187 and 188 of the Act, as are relevant to this application for approval, have been met.

[3] The Communications, Electrical, Electronic, Energy, Information, Postal, Plumbing and Allied Services Union of Australia, the bargaining representative for the Agreement, has given notice under s.183 of the Act that they want the Agreement to cover them. In accordance with s.201(2) of the Act I note that the Agreement covers the organisation.

[4] The Agreement is approved and, in accordance with s.54 of the Act, will operate from 26 July 2013. The nominal expiry date of the Agreement is 31 October 2015.
