WH E R E A S N e w South Wales was passed in t h e fifth year of t h e re ign of

a n A c t of t he Governor and Legislat ive Counci l of

H e r present Majesty in t i tu led " An Act to authorize the Governor of " New South Wales to detain at hard labor any Male Offender under a " second sentence or order of Transportation" and whereas t he said

A c t was cont inued by a n Ac t passed in t h e s ixth year of t he re ign of H e r said Majesty a n d it is expedient to fur ther cont inue t h e same for

a l imi ted t ime as is here inaf ter provided B e i t therefore enacted by

H i s Excel lency t h e Governor of New South W a l e s w i th t h e advice and consent of t h e Legis la t ive Council thereof Tha t t h e said Act shall be a n d the same is hereby cont inued in force un t i l t he thir ty-first day of December in t h e year one t housand e ight hund red and forty-four.
