Part 1—Preliminary

1—Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Harbors and Navigation Variation Regulations 2008.

2—Commencement

These regulations will come into operation on 4 February 2008, immediately after the Harbors and Navigation Variation Regulations 2007 (No 249 of 2007).

3—Variation provisions

In these regulations, a provision under a heading referring to the variation of specified regulations varies the regulations so specified.

Part 2—Variation of Harbors and Navigation Regulations 1994

4—Variation of regulation 125E—Modification of ABP Standard

Regulation 125E(c)—delete paragraph (c) and substitute:

(c)delete the following words from clause 8.1(h):

In addition, if the boat has a build date prior to 1 July 2006, the term "inadequate flotation" may be used.

Note—

As required by section 10AA(2) of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1978, the Minister has certified that, in the Minister's opinion, it is necessary or appropriate that these regulations come into operation as set out in these regulations.
