Part 1—Preliminary
1—Short title
These regulations may be cited as the Harbors and Navigation (Control of Caulerpa Taxifolia) Variation Regulations 2007.
2—Commencement
These regulations come into operation on the day on which they are made.
3—Variation provisions
In these regulations, a provision under a heading referring to the variation of specified regulations varies the regulations so specified.

4—Variation of regulation 4—Restricted waters: section 27
Regulation 4—delete "the Schedule" and substitute:

Regulation 5—delete "the Schedule" wherever occurring and substitute in each case:
Schedule 1
Regulation 5—after subregulation (3) insert:
(4)A prohibition on mooring applying in restricted waters according to Schedule 1 does not apply to the mooring, for a period not exceeding 48 hours, of a vessel that has—
(a)a length not exceeding 15 metres; and
(b)a beam not exceeding 4.5 metres; and
(c)a draft not exceeding 1.5 metres,
at a mooring buoy designated by the Minister by notice in the Gazette provided that at least 1 person is aboard the vessel at all times while it is moored at such a buoy.
6—Variation of Schedule 1—Restricted waters
Schedule 1—after "The anchoring of a vessel in the waters" under the heading "Prohibited activities" insert:
The mooring of a vessel in the waters at a mooring buoy designated by the Minister by notice in the Gazette.
Note—
As required by section 10AA(2) of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1978, the Minister has certified that, in the Minister's opinion, it is necessary or appropriate that these regulations come into operation as set out in these regulations.
