Re:     Application for Rehearing
Land Act 1962 s.43
  VC94-0085

Geoffrey C and Norma D Hannant
  v.
  Chief Executive, Department of Lands

D E C I S I O N

On 12 August 1994, the Court handed down a decision on appeal by the applicants/lessees against the categorisation for rental purposes of Special Lease 31/42665.
An application for rehearing under the provisions of s.43 of the Land Act followed.
The application was of a general nature and was unsupported by reasons.  Counsel for the respondent cited a number of authorities which establish that an application for a general review of the evidence presented to the Land Court is insufficient to support an application for rehearing.  See AV90-25 - MP Jobin-Decor v. The Valuer-General Land Court (Mr Barry - President) 2.8.1991 (unreported).
In the circumstances the application is refused.
