AN ACT to amend the Hairdressers Registration

Act, 1946.

[Assented to 18th December, 1953.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title

and citation.

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Hairdressers Registration Act Amendment Act, 1953.

(2)

In this Act the Hairdressers Registration Act,

1946,

Act No. 61 of 1946,

is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Hairdressers Registration Act, 1946-1953.

S. 7

2. Section seven of the principal Act is amended by adding after the word "certificates" in line one of subparagraph (iii) of paragraph (a) of subsection (1) the words "and badges".

3. Section fourteen of the principal Act is

amended.

amended by

(a)

substituting for paragraph (a) of subsec- tion (2) the following:

(a)

two pounds two shillings for exam- inations;

(b)

substituting for the words "two shillings" in line four and "five shillings" in line six of subsection (4) the words "twelve shillings and sixpence".

4. Section eighteen of the principal Act is (taxied.

amended by adding

(a)

after the word "certificate" in line four of subsection (1) the words "and badge of registration";

(b)

after the word "certificate" in line three of subsection (3) the words "and the badge".

5. Paragraph (d) of section twenty-one of the principal Act is amended by adding after the word "certificates" in lines one and two the words "and badges".
