THE FEDERAL CAPITAL COMMISSION.
REGULATIONS UNDER THE GUN LICENCE ORDINANCE 1925-1926.
PURSUANT to the powers conferred upon it by the Gun Licence Ordinance 1925-1926, the Federal Capital Commission hereby makes the following Regulations to come into operation forthwith.

| short title. | 1- These Regulations may be cited as the Gun Licence Regulations 1926. . |
| Definitions. | 2. In these Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears— |
" the Federal Capital Commission" includes any delegate of the
Federal Capital Commission under the Ordinance;
" the Ordinance " means the Gun Licence Ordinance 1925-1926, and any reference to a schedule shall be read as a reference to a schedule to these Regulations.

| Applications for | ^- An application for a gun licence or a special gun licence and, if the |

police force of the Commonwealth or of a State stationed in the Territory
that he is satisfied that—
(a) the applicant is over the age of sixteen years ;
(b) the applicant ia a fit and proper person to be a licensee under the
licence applied for.
| Spccla] | 6. In addition to the certificate referred to in the last preceding |
certifleatc to regulation, an application for a special gun licence and, if the Federal Capital
application for Commission so directs, an application for the renewal of any such licence.
K'ce.B,m ' 8 B a ^ b e accompanied by a certificate from the officer of the Federal Capital Commission known as the Lands Officer or any other officer thereto authorized in writing by the Federal Capital Commission that he is satisfied that it is desirable tha t the applicant should be granted such a licence—

(a) for the purposes of the applicant's trade or business ; or
(b) for the purpose of destroying the prescribed birds or animals on
land comprised in a lease granted to the applicant or to his
landlord or employer ; or
(c) for the purpose of carrying out any covenant of a lease granted
to the applicant.
Production of 7.—(I.) Except where the applicant for a gun licence or a special gun ofpolice'force? licence or for the renewal of such a licence desires the licence for the purpose,
inter alia, of enabling him to purchase or hire a gun, the applicant shall upon application to a member of the police force for a certificate under regulation 5 of these Regulations, produce to that member the gun in respect of which his application for the licence applies.
(2.) If the gun is purchased after the licence is granted, the hcensee shall, within seven days after the date of the purchase, produce the gun to the member of the police force who gave the certificate in connexion with the application for the bcence.
Penalty for contravention of this sub-regulation : Ten pounds.

Penalty: Five pounds.
16. The Register of Gun Licences shall be in accordance with Form I in register of
