AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Gun Licence Ordinance 1937

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Ordinance under the Seat of Government (Administra­ tion) Act 1910.

GUN LICENCE (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE 1978

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Gun Licence (Amendment)

Ordinance 1978.*

2. In this Ordinance, "Principal Ordinance" means the Gun

Licence Ordinance 1937.t

3. Section 5 of the Principal Ordinance is amended—

1966; N o . 33, 1970; N o . 31, 1971; and No . 47, 1974.

(a)	by omitting from sub-section (1) "Twenty dollars" and
substituting " $ 1 0 0 " ;
(b)	by omitting from sub-section (2) " Forty dollars" and
substituting " $ 1 0 0 " ; and
(c)	by omitting from sub-section (3) "One hundred dollars" and substituting " $500 ".

4. Section 6 of the Principal Ordinance is amended by omitting

sub-section (7) and substituting the following sub-sections:

" (7 ) The fee payable for the grant or renewal of a gun licence

is $2.

" (7A) The fee payable for the grant or renewal of a pistol licence

is $15.".

5. Section 10 of the Principal Ordinance is amended by omitting

from sub-section (3) " T w o dollars" and substituting " $ 1 0 0 " .
