GUN LICENCE ORDINANCE 1971

1.— (1.) This Ordinance may be cited as the Gun Licence Ordi­

nance 1971.*

(2.) The Gun Licence Ordinance 1937-1970,f as amended by

this Ordinance, may be cited as the Gun Licence Ordinance 1937-
1971.

2.   Section 5 of the Principal Ordinance is amended—

(a) by inserting in sub-section (7 . ) , after the word "Common­

wealth ", the words " o r an officer of a public authority";

(b) by omitting from that sub-section the word "department"
and inserting in its stead the words " Department or
authority ";
(c) by inserting in that sub-section, after the word " premises ",
Authorised by the ACT Parliamentary Counsel—also accessible at

the words " or on the premises of the authority ";

(d) by inserting in that sub-section, after the words " business

of the Department ", the words " or the authority "; and

(c) by adding at the end thereof the following sub-section: —

" (8.) In the last preceding sub-section—

' officer' includes an employee;

' public authority ' means an authority established by or

under an Act or an Ordinance.".
