His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Guardianship Act 1987.

Explanatory note

Part 5A of the Guardianship Act 1987 provides for the recognition by the Guardianship Tribunal of guardians and managers who are appointed under a corresponding law. The object of this Regulation is to declare the Guardianship and Administration Act 2000 of Queensland to be a corresponding law for the purposes of Part 5A.

This Regulation is made under the Guardianship Act 1987, including sections 48A and 108 (the general regulation-making power).

Guardianship Amendment Regulation 2000

1     Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Guardianship Amendment Regulation 2000.

2 Commencement

This Regulation commences on 1 July 2000.

3 Amendment of clause 11A (Corresponding laws) of Guardianship

Regulation 1995

The Guardianship Regulation 1995 is amended by inserting after clause 11A (h) the following paragraph:

(i) Guardianship and Administration Act 2000 of Queensland.
