I, General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d), Governor of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Minister for Planning, and in pursuance of section 5 of the Growth Centres (Development Corporations) Act 1974, make the following Order.

Explanatory note

The objects of this Order are:

(a)	to change the name of the Hunter Development Corporation to the Hunter and Central Coast Development Corporation, and
(b)	to dissolve the Central Coast Regional Development Corporation, and
(c)	to alter the description of land included in the growth centre for which the renamed Hunter and Central Coast Development Corporation is responsible by adding the description of additional land (namely, the land that was a growth centre for which the Central Coast Regional Development Corporation was responsible) and reflecting changes in the names of local government areas and the amalgamation of those areas.

This Order is made under section 5 of the Growth Centres (Development Corporations) Act 1974.

1      Name of Order

This Order is the Growth Centres (Development Corporations) Amendment (Hunter

and Central Coast Development Corporation) Order 2018.

2      Commencement

This Order commences on 1 November 2018 and is required to be published on the
NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Growth Centres (Development Corporations) Act 1974 No 49

(1) Schedule 1 Growth centres and development corporations

Insert “and Central Coast” after “Hunter” in Column 1.

(2)	Schedule 1
Omit the matter relating to Hunter Development Corporation from Column 2.
Insert instead:

All those pieces or parcels of land within the local government areas of Central Coast, Cessnock, Dungog, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Mid-Coast, Muswellbrook, Newcastle, Port Stephens, Singleton and Upper Hunter Shire.

Omit the matter relating to Central Coast Regional Development Corporation.
