Regulation under the Greyhound Racing Act 2017.

Explanatory note

The object of this Regulation is to extend, until 1 September 2019, the savings and transitional provisions of the Greyhound Racing Act 2017 relating to registration and to the GRNSW Racing Rules repealed by that Act. The transitional arrangement would otherwise end on 30 June 2019.

This Regulation is made under the Greyhound Racing Act 2017, including section 101 (the general regulation-making power) and clause 1 of Schedule 4.

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Greyhound Racing Amendment (Transition Period)

Regulation 2019.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

Schedule 4 Savings, transitional and other provisions

Omit “30 June 2019” from the definition of transition period in clause 8.

Insert instead “1 September 2019”.
