under the

Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979

1      Name of plan

This plan is Great Lakes Local Environmental Plan 1996 (Amendment

No 49).

2      Aims of plan

This plan aims to prohibit development for the purpose of a service station on land that is within one kilometre of the Pacific Highway or any by-pass along the route of that Highway and, in either case, that is within Zone No 1 (a) under Great Lakes Local Environmental Plan 1996 (the 1996 plan).

3      Land to which plan applies

This plan applies to land in the local government area of Great Lakes that is within one kilometre of the Pacific Highway or any by-pass along the route of that Highway and, in either case, that is within Zone No 1 (a) under the 1996 plan.

4 Amendment of Great Lakes Local Environmental Plan 1996

Great Lakes Local Environmental Plan 1996 is amended by inserting after clause 35 the following clause:

36      Service stations along Pacific Highway or by-passes

Objective of Provision

To prohibit service station development on land that is within one kilometre of the Pacific Highway or any by-pass along the route of that Highway and, in either case, that is within Zone No 1 (a).

Prohibition of service station development

Development for the purpose of a service station is prohibited on land that is within one kilometre of the Pacific Highway or any by-pass along the route of that Highway and, in either case, that is within Zone No 1 (a).
