Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Act 1975.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

2.   Regulation 13 (Limit on discharge of persons from vessels or hovercraft)

2.1   Omit the regulation.

3.   Regulation 22 (Reconsideration and review of decisions of Authority)

3.1   Subregulation (1A):

Omit “setting out the reasons for the decision”.

3.2   New subregulation (1B):

After subregulation (1A), insert:

 “(1B) A notice of a decision must:

  • (a)

    state that a person affected by the decision may obtain from the Authority relevant documents setting out the reasons for the decision; and

  • (b)

    set out the rights of review available under these Regulations.”.
