1Name of Regulations

 These Regulations are the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Amendment Regulations 2000 (No. 1).

2Commencement

 These Regulations commence on gazettal.

3Amendment of Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Regulations 1983

Schedule 1 amends the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Regulations 1983.

insert

59ARegister of permissions

  • (1)

    The Authority may keep a register of permissions.

  • (2)

    The register may contain:

    • (a)

      details of applications for permissions and transfer of permissions, and variations of applications; and

    • (b)

      details of permissions granted; and

    • (c)

      copies of any statements of reasons given for decisions on applications.

  • (3)

    However, the Authority must not include a document in the register if doing so would be a breach of confidence.

59BAccess to register

 The Authority must show the register to any person who asks to see it at the Authority’s office when the office is open.

59CPublic to be given copies of documents

  • (1)

    The Authority must give a copy of a document that is in the register to anybody who asks for it and pays the fee mentioned in subregulation (2).

  • (2)

    The fee for a copy of a document is the sum of:

    • (a)

      $10.00; and

    • (b)

      $0.50 for each page to be copied.
