REGULATIONS UNDER THE GRANTS COMMISSION ACTS 1973.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Grants Commission Acts 1973.

Amendments of Grants Commission Regulations 

Commencement.

1. These Regulations shall be deemed to have come into operation on 20 September 1973.

Remuneration of full-time members.

2. Regulation 3 of the Grants Commission Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from paragraph (a) the word “; and”; and

(b) by omitting paragraph (b).

3. After regulation 3 of the Grants Commission Regulations, the following regulation is inserted:—

Remuneration of part-time members.

“3a. In respect of any day on or after 20 September 1973 and before 1 January 1974 on which a part-time member performs the duties of his office, the rate at which remuneration payable is to him is—

(a) if he performs those duties for a period, or for periods totalling, not more than 3 hours—$40 per day; or

(b) if he performs those duties for a period, or for periods totalling more than 3 hours—$85 per day.”.
