Grains Research and Development Corporation

Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Primary Industries and Energy Research and Development Act 1989.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations are taken to have commenced on 1 October 1990.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Grains Research and Development Corporation Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Regulation 5 (Levies attached to the Corporation)

3.1   Paragraph 5 (1) (e):

Omit the paragraph, substitute:

• “(e)

  the levy imposed by section 5 of the Wheat Industry Fund Levy Act 1989.”.

3.2   Subregulation 5 (2):

Omit the subregulation, substitute:

 “(2) For the purposes of paragraph 5 (3) (a) of the Act, the whole of each levy referred to paragraph (1) (a), (b), (c)  or (d) is the research component of that levy.”.

• “NOTE:

  The research component in relation to the levy imposed by the Wheat Industry Fund Levy Act 1989 is worked out in accordance with subsection 5 (5) of the Act.”.

3.3   Subregulation 5 (3):

Omit all the words after “to which”, substitute:

 “each levy referred to in subregulation (1) relates”.
