Queensland Grain Research Foundation Act Amendment Act 1991 Act No. 45 of 1991 An Act to amend the Grain Research Foundation Act 1976-1990 in certain particulars [Assented to 28 August 1991]

2 Grain Research Foundation Act Amendment No. 45, 1991 BE IT ENACTED by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows. Short title 1. This Act may be cited as the Grain Research Foundation Act Amendment Act 1991 . Citation 2.(l) In this Act, the GrainResearchFoundationAct1976-1990 is referred to as the Principal Act. (2) The Principal Act, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the GrainResearch Foundation Act 1976-1991 . Repeal of and new s.13 (Payment of expenses) 3. The Principal Act is amended by repealing section 13 and substituting the following section— ‘Fees and allowances ‘13.(1) Subject to subsection (2), each member of the Foundation is to be paid, by the Foundation, such fees and allowances, if any, as the Governor in Council from time to time determines. ‘(2) Fees are not to be paid to a member who is an officer of the public service, within the meaning of the PublicServiceManagementandEmployment Act 1988-1990 , for attendance at any meeting held during the ordinary working hours of that officer. ’. Amendment of s.17 (Advisory committees) 4. Section 17 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting subsection (3) and substituting the following subsections— ‘(3) Subject to subsection (4), each member of an advisory committee is to be paid, by the Foundation, such fees and allowances, not exceeding the rate of fees and allowances payable to a member of the Foundation, as the
