Grafton Presbyterian Church Land Sale Act 1881 No gpc (NSW)
An Act to enable William Cowan the younger John Edward Chapman Arthur Hyde Samuel Avery and David Kirk Trustees of certain land situate in the town of Grafton to sell the said land and provide for the appropriation of the proceeds thereof. [16th December, 1881.]

consent of t h e Legislat ive Counci l and Legis la t ive Assembly of N e w
South Wales in P a r l i a m e n t assembled and by t h e au thor i ty of t h e same as follows :—
1. Af ter t h e pass ing of this A c t i t shall be lawful for t h e said
W i l l i a m Cowan the younge r J o h n Edward Chapman A r t h u r H y d e Samuel A v e r y and David K i r k hereinaf ter styled Trus tees the i r hei rs or assigns or other t h e Trustees for t h e t ime be ing of t h e said I n d e n t u r e of t h e twen ty - fou r th of M a y e igh teen hund red and fifty- e igh t to sell a n d dispose of t h e said l and specified in t h e Schedule here to by publ ic auc t ion or pr ivate con t rac t and ei ther in one lot or in several lots as t h e y shall deem most expedient for such price or prices as can be had or obtained for t h e same and w h e n sold to convey t h e same or any p a r t or par t s thereof to t h e purchaser or purchasers in fee s imple freed and discharged from t h e said t rus t s affecting t h e same and t h e receipt in wr i t ing of t h e said Trustees the i r heirs or assigns shall absolutely discharge t h e purchaser or purchasers of t he said land or any pa r t or par t s thereof from t h e purchase money payable by h i m or t h e m respect ively a n d shall exonerate h i m or t h e m from seeing to t h e appl icat ion of t h e said purchase money and from all
l iabil i ty as to t he misappl icat ion or non-appl ica t ion thereof. 2. The said Trustees the i r heirs or assigns shall s tand possessed of all moneys ar i s ing from any and every such sale or sales as aforesaid upon t ru s t to apply t he proceeds of such sale in or towards t he erection of a Presbyter ian C h u r c h on t h e site g ran ted by the Government for t h a t purpose and t h e receipts of any person or persons to w h o m any moneys shal l be paid u n d e r t he provisions of th i s A c t shall be a valid and complete discharge to t h e said Trus tees the i r hei rs or assigns for
such moneys .
