An Act to extend to Graduates of other Univer­
sities certain privileges enjoyed by Graduates

of the Universi ty of Sydney. [9th April, 1859.]

conferred on Graduates of the University of Sydney desirous of being WHEREAS by the Act passed in the twentieth year of Her Majesty's reign numbered fourteen certain privileges were
admitted as Barristers or Attorneys of the Supreme Court and it is expedient to extend the same privileges to Graduates of certain other Universities Be it therefore enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assem­ bled and by the authority of the same as follows:—

1. Any person who shall have taken any Degree in Arts or in Law or in Medicine in the University of Oxford or of Cambridge or in any University granting Degrees by virtue of any Statute or Royal Charter or Colonial Act assented to by Her Majesty or any of Her predecessors where such Degree shall have been granted after exami­ nation and who shall desire to be admitted a Barrister or an Attorney or Solicitor of the Supreme Court shall have and enjoy the same privileges as those; conferred by the aforesaid Act upon Graduates of the University of Sydney.
