An Act to provide for the augmentation of

the Govertzor's Salary.

HEREAS by the Constitution Act, No. 2 of 1856-6, it was ~ r c a m b ~

W amongst other things declarcd and ordered that there should

be payable to Her Majesty, in every year, the several sums specified

in the Civil List to the said Act annexed: And whereas the salary payable to the Goverrlor, by the said Civil List, is Four Thousand Pounds per annum: And whereas the said salary is incommen- surate with the duties and responsibilities of thc Representative of Her Majesty in the Province of South Australia; and it is therefore expedient that the said salary should bc augmented as hereinafter provided-Be it therefore enacted, by the Governor-in-Chief of the Province of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly of the said Province, in this present Parliament assembled, as follows:

1. There shall be payable to Her Majesty, every year, out of the q o o o

Consolidated Revenues of this Province, in addition to the said sum z&Y:j;:t$$,o

of Four Thousand Pounds reserved to Her Majesty in the Civil List U salary of OOW-.

to the said Act annexed, the further sum set forth in the Schedule

hereunto annexed.
