GOVERNOR'S SALARY (AMENDMENT) ACT.

An Act to make provision for an increase in the salary of the Governor of New South Wales; for this purpose to amend the Governor's Salary Act, 1901, the Constitution Act, 1902, and certain other Acts in certain respects; and for purposes connected therewith. [Reserved, 1st November, 1955. Assented to, 1st December, 1955.]

1 . (1) This Act may be cited as the "Governor 's Salary (Amendment) Act, 1955."

(2) The Governor's Salary Act, 1901, as amended by subsequent Acts and by this Act, may be cited as the Governor's Salary Act, 1901-1955.

(3) This Act shall be deemed to have commenced on the fourth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and fifty-five.

2 . The Governor's Salary Act, 1901, as amended by

subsequent Acts, is amended by omitting from subsection [
one of section two the words "hereafter to be appointed

thereof the words "shall, notwithstanding anything in1 shall be five thousand pounds" and by inserting in lieu

any other Act contained, be six thousand pounds". i
