[A ssented to 11 th N ovember , 1957.] B E it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis­ lativeAssemblyof Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:— 1. This Act may be cited as The Governor's Short title. Pension Act of 1957.” 2. There shall be payable, as on and from the first Pension to day of October, one thousand nine hundred and fifty- Governor, seven, to Sir John Dudley Lavarack a pension during life at the rate of one thousand pounds per annum. 3. If the wife of Sir John Dudley Lavarack shall Pension to survive him, there shall be payable on his death to Got°emor.the her a pension during life at the rate of five hundred pounds per annum: Provided that, if she remarries, her pension under this section shall thereupon cease and determine. 4. A pension payable under this Act— ( a) Shall grow due from day to day; and Appropria-
