AN ACT to make provision in the Government Tramways Act, 1912, for the use of Trolley Buses as part of the Government tramway system.

this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of

the same, as follows:—

Short title.

1. This Act may be cited as the Government Tramivays Act Amendment Act, 1933, and shall be read as one with the Government Tramways Act, 1912 (No. 58 of 1912), herein- after referred to as the principal Act.

2. 2. Section two of the principal Act is amended by adding

at the end of the section definitions, as follows:

"Tramcar," subject to the context, includes a trolley

bus.

"Tramway" includes a route upon which trolley buses

are used, as distinct from tramcars running on rails,

as part of the Government tramway system.

"Trolley bus" means an electrically equipped vehicle run on ordinary roadway, the power supply being obtained from two overhead conductors, one positive and the other negative.

Operation of s. 2 3. Section two of this Act shall have effect as from the

first day of September, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-

three.
