Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to enable the Public Service Commissioner to extend (by up to 2 months)
the date by which transitional senior executives in internal audit roles in the Department of Industry, Skills

and Regional Development are required to transition to the new senior executive employment arrangements clause 2 of Schedule 4.

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Government Sector Employment Amendment (Transitional
Internal Audit Senior Executives) Regulation 2017.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Government Sector Employment Act 2013 No 40

Schedule 4 Savings, transitional and other provisions

Insert after clause 7A (6):

(6A) This clause applies to transitional former senior executives employed in the Department of Industry, Skills and Regional Development in an internal audit role as if references in this clause to 24 February 2017 were references to such later date (not being a date later than 30 April 2017) that the Commissioner may approve on the application of the Secretary of that Department.
