GOVERNMENT SAVINGS BANK

AMENDMENT ACT.

Act No. 17, 1914.

An Act to amend the Government Savings Bank Act, 1906, and the Government Savings Bank Amendment Act, 1913 ; and for purposes consequent thereon or incidental thereto. [Assented to, 'loth August, 1914.]

BE it enacted by the K i n g ' s Most Exce l l en t by and with the advice and consent of t h e Legis­ la t ive Council and Legislat ive Assembly of N e w Sou th

t h e same, as follows : —

1 . This Ac t may be cited as t he " G o v e r n m e n t
Savings Bank A m e n d m e n t Ac t , 1914," and shall be
cons t rued wi th t he G o v e r n m e n t Savings B a n k Act ,
1906, hereinaf ter referred to as the Pr inc ipa l Ac t .

Section forty-one, subsect ion one, of t he Pr inc ipa l Act , as amended by the G o v e r n m e n t Savings Bank Act , 1906, is he reby repealed, and t h e following section is

Deposits and interes t payable the reon m a y be w i t h d r a w n on appl ica t ion in t h e prescribed form by t h e depositor or t he person legal ly ent i t led to c la im on his behalf.

N E C E S S A R Y

The Commissioners m a y prescribe condit ions and

period of not ice to be given before such wi thdrawals

are payable .
