GOVERNMENT RAILWAYS (FURTHER ROWERS) ACT.

Act No. 28, 1934.

XAJI Act to confer further powers as to sale or lease of land upon the Commissioner for Railways, and to authorise the erection of administrative and other office accommoda- tion for the Department of Railways at Wynyard Station; to validate certain sales and leases and matters; to amend the Government Railways Act, 1912-1932, and certain other Acts; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 9th November, 1934.]

1912-1932, is referred to as the Principal Act. (3)

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, lative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South by and with the advice and consent of the Legis-	Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of
the same, as follows :—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the "Government

Railways (Farther Powers) Act, 1934."

(2) In this Act the Government Railways Act,

be cited as the Government Rai lways Act, 1912-1934.

2.     The Pr inc ipa l Act is amended by inser t ing in sec­

t ion four, af ter the	word	" G o v e r n o r , "	the	following
p a r a g r a p h : —

The powers of selling and leasing by this

section conferred shall author ise and shall be deemed always to have author ised the sale or leasing of or otherwise howsoever the dealing with or disposit ion of any land or any s t r a t a or p a r t of any land whether divided horizontally, vert ical ly or otherwise or any estate , in teres t or r ight of any kind therein and in any sale, lease or other dealing or disposit ion the reserv ing of or otherwise assur ing any estate, interest , powers , easements, r igh t s or privi leges requi red or likely to be required for the purposes of this Act. When approved of by the Governor any sale, lease or other dealing or dispo­ sition shall be deemed to have been made for the purposes of the Government Rai lways Act, 1912, and any Act amending or replacing the same wholly or

in pa r t .

3. (1) The City and Suburban Elect r ic Rai lways Act 1915, is amended by inser t ing next af ter section fourteen the following new sect ion:—

15. The work sanctioned by th is Act shall be deemed to include and always to have included in connection with the construction of an underground s ta t ion under Wynyard - squa re , the erection under­ ground and aboveground upon land resumed or acquired for the purposes of the construct ion and use of W y n y a r d Sta t ion of a building for adminis­	t ra t ive and other office accommodation for the
Depa r tmen t of Rai lways and such bui lding and the
doing of all ma t t e r s and things in or in connection wi th i ts erection and use shall be deemed to be ana always to have been p a r t of the au thor ised work.

(2) The City and Suburban Electr ic Rai lways Act. 1915, as amended by the City and Suburban Electr ic Rai l­ ways (Amendment ) Act, 1916, and this Act, may be cited as the City and Suburban Elec t r ic Ra i lways Act, 1915- 1934.
