Act N o . 5, 1979 .

An Act to amend section 58 of the Government Railways Act, 1912, in relation to free railway passes for members of the Legislative Council. [Assented to, 10th April, 1979.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—

1. This Act may be cited as the "Government Railways

(Constitution) Amendment Act, 1979".

2.      The Government Railways Act, 1912, is amended—

(a)

by omitting from section 58 (1) (a) (ii) the words "on his ceasing to be a member of such Council" and by inserting instead the words "on his ceasing to be entitled to remuneration under the Parliamentary Remuneration Tribunal Act, 1975";

(b) by omitting section 58 ( 2 ) .
