GOVERNMENT RAILWAYS AND TRANSPORT

(AMENDMENT) ACT.

Act No. 12, 1962.

An Act to amend section 100A of the Government Railways Act, 1912-1961, and section 123 of the Transport Act, 1930-1961; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 21st May, 1962.]

(1) This Act may be cited as the "Government Rail- ways and Transport (Amendment) Act, 1962". (2)
BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in

Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: —

(2) This Act shall be deemed to have commenced upon the twentieth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and sixty-two.

(1) The Government Railways Act, 1912, as amended by subsequent Acts, is amended by inserting at the end of subsection one of section 100A the following new paragraph : —

In this subsection the expressions "bank and public holidays" and "bank or public holidays" do not include Saturdays that are bank holidays by virtue of the provisions of section 15A of the Banks and Bank Holidays Act. 1912-1961.

(2) The Government Railways Act, 1912, as

amended by subsequent Acts and by this Act, may be cited
as the Government Railways Act, 1912-1962.

(1) The Transport Act, 1930, as amended by subse­ quent Acts, is amended by inserting at the end of subsection one of section one hundred and twenty-three the following new paragraph : —

In this subsection the expressions "bank and public holidays" and "bank or public holidays" do not include Saturdays that are bank holidays by virtue of the pro­ visions of section 15A of the Banks and Bank Holidays Act, 1912-1961.

(2) The Transport Act, 1930, as amended by subse­

quent Acts and by this Act, may be cited as the Transport
Act, 1930-1962.
