AN ACT to amend the Government Railways

Act, 1904-1958.

[Assented to 8th September, 1959.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Government

Railways Act Amendment Act, 1959.

2. Paragraph (c) of subsection (1) of section

amended.

seventy-eight of the principal Act is amended

(a)

by deleting the words, "the employees on" in lines three and four;

(b)

by substituting for the second, third, fourth and fifth paragraphs the following para- graphs

One person, his deputy and his substitute to be elected in the prescribed manner from the wages staff of the Secretary's Branch, Accounts and Audit Branch, Traffic Branch, excluding tradesmen and their assist- ants, but including other wages employees not specified;

One person, his deputy and his substitute to be elected in the prescribed manner from the wages staff of the Motive Power Section of the Mechanical Br an c h, excluding tradesmen and their assistants, employed in that section;

One person, his deputy and his substitute to be elected in the prescribed manner from the wages staff of the Mechanical Bran c h, including tradesmen and their assistants of the Motive Power Section, but excluding all other wages staff of that section, and including wages staff of the Stores Branch, and tradesmen and their assistants employed in the Traffic Branch;

One person, his deputy and his substitute to be elected in the prescribed manner from the wages staff of the Civil Engineering Branch; .
