[ASSENTED TO 3RD DECEMBER, 1917.] B E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty~ by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same~ as follows :.- . Short title. Suspension ·of Sinking Fund payments. 1. This Act may be cited as "The Government Loans Sinking Fund Temporary Suspension Act of 1917." 2. Notwithstanding anything contained in section eight and in subsection one of section nine of "The Government Loan Act oJ 1910,"* or in section eight and in subsection one of section nine of "The Government LQan Act oJ 1911,"t 0'1' in section eleven and in subsection one of section twelve of "The Government Loan Act of 1913,"t or in section eleven and in subsection one of section twelve of "The Government Loan Act of 1914,"§ the Treasurer shall not be required to pay, and shall not pay, to the Trustees of the Public Debt Reduction Fund at any time during the financial year ending the thirtieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, or in any financial year thereafter during the continuance of the present War~ including the financial year in which peace is proclaimed, any sum or sums of money as or byway of contribution towards any Sinking Fund established under the last-mentioned Acts, or any of them, in respect of the sums borrowed under the authority of any of the said Acts. * 1 Geo.
