Government Inscribed Stock Act Amendment. 9743 month after the thirtieth dav of June in each vear, if Parliament is then sitting, and, if Parliament v is not sitting, then within one month after the next sitting of Parliament, giving full information in connection with the operations on the Sinking Fund during the last financial year and up to the said thirtieth day of June. 14. The following provisions shall apply to the Furt~ ~ r Sinking Fund established under and for the purposes of f~os~~ ~ ~~ ~ as this Act :- :Fund. '" (a) The Trustees may, whenever in their opinion it is necessary, remit any moneys standing to the credit of the Sinking Fund to London, in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, for the purpose of investing the same in any investment authorised by this Act, and may appoint agents in London for that purpose of whom the Agent-General of the State shall alwaysbe one; (b) The Auditor-General shall once at least in each financial year cause the investments on account of the Sinking Fund made in London aforesaid to be audited by some qualified person appointed by him for that purpose, and shall include the result of such audit in his annual report to Parliament. 9744 LOANS, GOVERNMENT. Govemmentlnscribed Stock Act Amendment. 12 GEO. V. No. 10,1921. This Act and the Principal Act may together be cited as "The Government Inscribed Stock Acts, 1920 to 1921. " 2. (1.) After section six of the Principal Act, the following sections are inserted:- ~ ~ jck in "[6A.] Stock may be inscribed in the name of a minor o JO f I I n D t. m n o a r maensd J' ointly with one or more persons of full age " but shall not .adult. without the order of a Judge of the Supreme Court, be transferred until the coming of age or death of the minor. ~ ransmis. . [6B.] (1.) \Vhere a person at the date of his death is 8 n 1 o 0 t n of stock regI . s t ere d as owner 0 f stoc k 0 f an amoun t no t excee d m ' g exceeding one hundred pounds and probate of his will or letters of £ p1ro0b0awtei, th & o c u . t ad mI'nI.St rat'IOn 0 f llI' S eSl f !at e are not produced t 0 the Registrar of Inscribed Stock, or notice in writing of the existence of a will and of intention to prove it or to take out letters of administration is not given to the said registrar within three months after the death of the registered owner, the said regi~ trar may, with the a pproval of the Treasurer, register transmission of the stock to the widow or some relative or relatives of the deceased. (2.) No person shall have any claim against the said registrar or the Treasurer or the Government in respect of any transmission registered in pursuance of this section; but nothing in this section shall relieve the person or persons to whom transmission is so registered from liability to account for or apply such stock in accordance with law. (2.) The enactments sections 6A and 6B hereby inserted in the Principal Act shall be deemed to have. been inserted therein at the date of the passing of the Principal Act; and the Principal Act as so amended shall be read and construed accordingly, and this Act shall have retrospective operation accordingly."
