Act No. 22, 1985.

An Act to amend the Government Guarantees Act, 1934, so as to authorise
the Treasurer to execute a guarantee for the repayment of any advance

made to the Nimrod Theatre Company Limited. [Assented to, 22nd

April, 1985.]

Government Guarantees (Amendment) 1985

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title.

1. This Act may be cited as the "Government Guarantees (Amendment)

Act, 1985".

Amendment of Act No. 57, 1934.

2. The Government Guarantees Act, 1934, is amended by inserting after

section 3 (5i) the following subsection:—

(5J) It shall be lawful for the Treasurer, upon the recommendation of the Minister for the Arts and with the approval of the Governor, to execute a guarantee in favour of any bank or other body of persons, corporate or unincorporate, approved by the Treasurer (in this Act referred to as "approved body") for the repayment of any advance to the Nimrod Theatre Company Limited.
