AN ACT to amend the Government Employees (Pro-

motions Appeal Board) Act, 1945-1946.

[Assented to 24th September, 1949.1

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty,by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same,. as follows:-

Short title

and citation.

(1) This Act may be cited as the Government Employees (Promotions Appeal Board) Act Amend- ment Act, 1949, and shall be read as one with the

Government Employees (Promotions Appeal Board) Act, 1945-1946 (No. 38 of 1945, as amended by No. 33 of 1946), hereinafter in this Act referred to as the principal Act.

(2) The principal Act, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the Government Employees (Promotions Appeal Board) Act, 1945-1949.

Amendment

of s. 3.

Section three of the principal Act is amended

(a) by deleting from lines three and four of the interpretation, "Department," the words, "the Rural and Industries Bank of Western Australia"; and

(b)

by adding after the words "Crown instrumen- tality" in lines eleven and twelve of the interpretation "Department," the words, "but on and after the twenty-second day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight, does not include the Rural and Industries Bank of Western Australia."
