I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Government Business Enterprises Act 1995 .28 November 2005

1Short titleThese regulations may be cited as the Government Business Enterprises Regulations 2005 . 2CommencementThese regulations take effect on 27 December 2005. 3InterpretationIn these regulations – Act means the Government Business Enterprises Act 1995 . 4Maximum prescribed percentage for guarantee fee rateFor the purposes of section 78(4) of the Act, the prescribed percentage is 1%.

These regulations are administered in the Department of Treasury and Finance.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the regulation) These regulations –

(a) prescribe the maximum percentage that can be determined by the Treasurer as a guarantee fee rate for a Government Business Enterprise specified in Schedule 3 of the Act; and (b) are made consequentially on the repeal of the Government Business Enterprises Regulations 1995 under section 11 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1992 .
