His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Government and Related Employees Appeal Tribunal Act 1980.

1Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Government and Related Employees Appeal Tribunal Regulation 2000.

2Commencement

This Regulation commences on 1 May 2000.

3Definition(1)

In this Regulation:

the Act means the Government and Related Employees Appeal Tribunal Act 1980.

(2)

In this Regulation, a reference to a Form is a reference to a Form set out in Schedule 1.

(3)

The explanatory note and table of contents do not form part of this Regulation.

4Publication of notices

For the purposes of section 19 (1) of the Act, the prescribed form of notice of a decision to appoint or recommend the appointment of a person to a vacant office is:

  • (a)

    Form 1, if the employer is a Department Head within the meaning of the Public Sector Management Act 1988, or

  • (b)

    Form 2, in any other case.

5Appointment of agents

For the purposes of section 30 (1) of the Act, the prescribed form of notice of appointment of an agent for the purpose of accepting service of notices and completing and lodging notices of appeal is Form 3.

6Oaths

For the purposes of clause 8 (1) of Schedule 2 to the Act, the prescribed form of oath is as set out in Form 4.

7Repeal

The Government and Related Employees Appeal Tribunal Regulation 1994 is repealed.
